Engaging in discussions with scientists, designers, and fabric producers to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges within the fashion industry’s value chain and the global trends in sustainable fashion. Each party plays a crucial role in the creation of sustainable fashion, contributing to the overall value chain. How can the awakened and informed consumer recognize and address their fashion needs in this context?

Special thanks to those who have created a fascinating dialogue from the perspective of fashion science: Quỳnh Paris, a Top 5 designer in Asia and Top 10 in the U.S.; Xuân Fastlink, a pioneer in green fabric production supporting sustainable fashion; Dr. Mai Hương, an expert in textile materials; and Ái Nhân, a distinguished UEH lecturer known for her expertise in fashion design, production, and event organization.

Event: Eco Fashion: Awakening for Smart Consumers

  • The trend of fast fashion is becoming a major issue as the volume of waste it generates is enormous, and most of the materials used are either non-recyclable or their recycling processes have significant environmental impacts.
  • We need to be aware of the roles and impacts of various stakeholders, and build awareness and responsibility to improve and establish a green system.
  • Special Session: Eco Fashion: Awakening for Smart Consumers is a platform for discussing eco fashion. It covers topics such as the safety of fashion for users, environmentally friendly materials, recyclability, and labor practices.
