The artworks from the Ulsan Art Museum (UAM) – one of the largest museums in South Korea, with a collection ranging from prehistoric artifacts to contemporary art – were exhibited for the first time at UEH. Each displayed piece conveys a theme or message about the harmony between technology and nature, the blend of reality and the virtual world, perspectives on modern cities, stories of dreams, or the disasters caused by climate change.

The artworks include:

“Forest of Cage” – An era-defining work by artist Nam June Paik, illustrating how technology is an extension of the human worldview and does not conflict with nature.
Chasing Yellow: Documentary video art capturing spontaneous yet authentic encounters.
Deep in the Forking Tanks: Simulative art blurring the boundaries between reality and the virtual.
Galaxy Express: LIDAR video art offering a unique perspective on the world.
Poltergeist: Drawing art exploring dreams, sensations, and imagination.
Symbioplot: Video art delving into disaster stories to promote symbiosis.
Wild Seed: Digital graphic art narrating the fusion of material and immaterial elements.
The Sun and The Moon – Exploring the existence of invisible yet enduring values.

The artworks were exhibited at UEH for three months under an agreement between UEH and UAM. These are exclusive pieces, and during this time, they were displayed in only one place worldwide—Vietnam.

ArtTech – a novel and unique form of art that combines cutting-edge technology to convey messages of global significance.

As part of the Ready for Next 2022 program series, UEH collaborated with UAM to showcase outstanding ArtTech works by Nam June Paik, the father of video art and media art, along with pieces by other renowned Korean artists.
